Do I need an account to read The Work State?
No. We do not ask for a resume and we do not put anything behind a login wall. Where a source sits at a stable public address, we link straight to it: the agency, the filing or the document itself. Where it does not, we name it in the text.
How does The Work State monetize if the platform is free?
Does the site store anything about me in my browser?
We keep no account, no reading history and no profile of you on our own servers, and anything a page itself remembers stays on your device via your browser’s Local Storage. Separately, our analytics and our advertising partner do set cookies in your browser, and you can decline the advertising ones in the cookie banner. The Cookie Policy lists every one of them by name.
Note: If you clear your browser history or cache, anything stored that way is permanently removed.
